All-Time Fave: the 1996 non-musical Les Miserables, French film starring
Jean Paul Belmondo. Another classic and a damn finen tearjerker is the
1946 Frank Cappra classic It’s A Wonderful Life, starring none other than
the legendary James Stewart - I really love that film with all its schmaltz
and feel-good stuff…. Oh come on now, don’t be a cynic….get it out if you
haven’t seen it and see for yourself … keep a good supply of tissues around
though.
Favourite Musical Movie:
Also, my favourite musical is also a movie - Man Of La Mancha, starring
Peter O’toole as Don Quixote. As I have over 700 films on DVD, I guess
I have a few others too …
